Trust
How we keep it accurate.
Anyone can add a place. Here is what happens next.
A person checks every listing
Nothing goes live straight from a form, and edits are tracked.
Vouched by people who know
Neighbors can vouch that a business is Muslim‑owned. A place nobody has vouched for just shows as unverified.
Labels that name the source
Unverified, community assured, owner assured, or certified with the certifier named. You decide how much to trust it.
Votes from trusted accounts
Votes count when they come from established accounts, and coordinated voting gets caught.
Private reports
Report wrong details or a closed shop privately. A person reads every report.
Your data stays yours
We don't keep a history of your location, we strip GPS data from photos, and we never sell data.
Why we built this
We can't support each other if we can't find each other.
Qurba was started by Palestinian Muslims in the United States. Our communities are full of Muslim‑owned businesses, but there was no easy way to find them.
Qurba is free and built by the people who use it. It's the first of many things we plan to build for the Ummah.
Unite
One map for every city and every kind of place.
Connect
Bring customers and Muslim‑owned businesses together.
Elevate
Help good businesses grow and new ones find customers.
How to help
Many people, each doing a little.
- 01
Add the places you know
Your masjid, your dentist, the bakery your family loves. It takes two minutes, and you get 100 Khair when it's approved.
- 02
Vouch for businesses
If you know a listed business is Muslim‑owned, say so. Three vouches from established members make it official.
- 03
Write honest reviews
A real review helps a small business more than an ad. Write the one you'd want to read.
- 04
Spread the word
Tell your masjid and share Qurba in the group chat. A city with a hundred contributors can map itself in a month.
Khair
Earn points for helping.
Khair means good. You earn it when you add a place, vouch for a business, or write a review.
Points can't be bought or spent. They move you up through seven roles and let you help review new submissions.

FAQ
Common questions
Anything else? Email us and a person will reply.
Is Qurba a halal food app?
No. Qurba is a directory of masjids and Muslim-owned businesses of every kind. Food is one of nine categories. The community can vote on halal status for food places, but that is one detail on a listing, not the point of the app.
What counts as a Muslim-owned business?
Any public-facing business with a Muslim owner, in any industry. Serving Muslim customers isn't enough; the owner has to be Muslim. Masjids and Islamic centers have their own category.
Who adds the places?
The community. Anyone with an account can add a place in about two minutes, and a person reviews every submission before it's published.
How can I help?
Add the places you know, vouch for businesses you know are Muslim-owned, write honest reviews, and tell your community about Qurba.
Is it free? Are there ads?
Qurba is free. We don't track you across apps, we don't sell data, and nobody can pay to rank higher. If sponsored spots ever appear, they will be clearly labeled.
Which cities are covered?
The United States and Canada, growing city by city as people add places. If your city looks empty, you're early, and adding the first places helps the most.
Is Qurba on Android?
Not yet. Qurba is on iPhone (iOS 17 or later). Android is planned.
I own a business. How do I get listed?
Add it in the app like any other place. Listing is free. Tools for owners, like claiming a listing and replying to reviews, are coming soon.
Who is behind Qurba?
Qurba was started by Palestinian Muslims in the United States. It is independent and not affiliated with any masjid, certifier or organization.
